It has been a busy autumn term, we have been looking at different festivals and celebrations and the reasons behind them. We have been particularly busy in December. with a visit to Sharow to see some gorgeous reindeer. Then we were rehearsing for our nativity. Our nativity was a little different this year as we invited parents, siblings and other family members to join in so it was quite spontaneous. The children sang beautifully, some children sang duets, played instruments and acted. We were able to retell the Nativity story in our own unique way.
Yesterday we joined with Sharow school to celebrate Christmas with a beautiful carol service at St. Johns Church at Sharow. This was well attended by parents and family members and a fitting end for ourChristmas term.
We have also had a virtual visit from Santa, Christmas jumper day and today we will be served a special Christmas lunch.
